Our sales are on-site, outdoors or in, at the property itself — a house in Clovis, a farm outside Melrose, a shop that is closing in Portales. Nothing needs to be moved to a sale barn first, which is part of why the whole job can be done in a day.
Most auctions follow the same shape. There is a viewing the day before, so you can put your hands on anything you plan to bid on. Bidding starts in the morning and runs until the last lot is sold. Larger items — a vehicle, a piece of equipment, the real estate itself — are usually called at an announced time so nobody has to stand around all day for one lot. Everything is sold as it stands, and purchases are paid for on the day of the sale.
Bring something to load with. We do not hold items over, so plan to take what you buy with you when the sale closes.
Hearing About The Next One
Auction dates are set around the estate or the business, not a fixed calendar, so the best way to hear about a sale is to ask us to tell you. Call (575) 763-7311 and we will put you on the list, or follow us on Facebook, where the lot photos usually go up first. Weather moves dates from time to time in this part of the country; when it does, the change is posted at the top of every page on this site.
Past Auctions
If you want a sense of what one of our sales actually looks like before you commit to anything, the Estate Auction of Bonnie Cook page has the full lot list and the photo gallery from that day — furniture, appliances, tools, a vehicle, and the hundred ordinary things a household accumulates. It is a fair picture of how we catalog and present an estate.
Thinking about an auction of your own? The estate auction, real estate auction and business liquidation pages explain how each one works, or you can just call and talk it through with us.
